Temperatures reached 90 degrees Monday afternoon, making the recently reopened Splash Field at Washington Park a popular destination for families. The splash park reopened as Phase 4 of Restore Illinois eased recreational restrictions. The splash pad is allowed to operate at 50% capacity. All people entering the splash pad will have their temperatures checked. Anyone with a temperature higher than 99.9 degrees or displaying COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted. The splash park closes twice daily for 30-minute intervals to clean from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and 3:30 to 4 p.m.
