Businesses closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Yorkville and across Illinois began to reopen Friday morning, May 29 as the state entered Phase 3 of Gov. JB Pritzker's Restore Illinois reopening plan.
In downtown Yorkville Friday afternoon, the first patrons took seats at tables in the temporary outdoor dining area set up in the alley behind behind Rowdy's and The Law Office Pub and Music Hall just east of Bridge Street (Route 47).
Under Phase 3 businesses are required to limit the number of patrons in their establishments and adhere to social distancing practices. The Phase also allows restaurants and bars to offer outdoor dining to patrons.
