The McHenry County Department of Health reported 36 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday evening and one additional death.
The death reported Friday was a woman in her 70s, according to the daily COVID-19 data update from the MCDH.
This brings countywide totals to 2,882 confirmed cases, 112 related deaths and two probable deaths.
The county’s recovery rate currently is 95%. McHenry County has conducted a total of 39,676 COVID-19 tests since the pandemic began, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
On Friday, the Kane County Health Department reported a total of 9,148 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 298 deaths.
The Lake County Health Department reported a total of 11,854 confirmed cases and 427 deaths.
Statewide, the IDPH reported a total of 178,837 confirmed cases and 7,495 related deaths as of Friday evening. So far, Illinois has conducted a total of 2,699,568 COVID-19 tests. The statewide recovery rate is 95%.
Among McHenry County ZIP codes, Woodstock (60098) has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases with a total of 469 confirmed cases.
Woodstock is closely followed by Crystal Lake (60014) with 461 cases, according to MCDH data.
