I have been involved with AYSO soccer since it began 42 years ago.  Nothing gives me more joy than to watch boys and girls play soccer on Saturday mornings at Kiwanis Park in De Kalb.  Sadly we have decided not to run the regular program this fall.  We simply do not believe we can provide an environment that assures the health and safety of our players, coaches, referees and families.

We, of course, believe that the opportunity for children to play soccer is extremely important.  AYSO allows our players to develop individual skills and to learn to play as part of a team.  It is so disappointing not to offer this program as we have for 42 years, but in the final analysis the risk to the health of our players and their families is too great.

We look forward to many years of AYSO soccer in the future, starting again in the spring.  In the meantime stay healthy and well.
