KANE COUNTY – Illinois public health officials on Monday reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 in Kane County and 1 additional death, which was a woman in her 70s. Officials reported 21 cases Monday.

Kane County now has 7,909 cases of the virus, with 276 deaths, according to the IDPH website. As of Tuesday, 66,122 people have been tested, and the county's positivity rate remains at 12%.

State health officials reported 587 additional cases and 37 deaths statewide on Tuesday, for a total of 148,452 cases, including 7,063 deaths. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 26,994 specimens. The state's rolling positivity rate dropped slightly to 2.5% on Tuesday.
