ROCK FALLS – Two people, in their 2-s and 50s tested positive for COVID-19, the Whiteside County Health Department said Sunday.

That brings the county count to 198 cases; 36 are active and 145 people have recovered.

Lee, Ogle and Carroll counties did not report any new cases Sunday.

As of Saturday, Lee had only four active cases out of 97 total. Carroll had 21 cases; four active and 15 recovered. Ogle had 277 cases; 40 active and 234 recovered.

Illinois announced six additional deaths from COVID-19 and 639 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. The six new COVID-19 deaths are the fewest reported in a single day by the state since reporting three deaths on March 25.

The state now has seen 147,251 cases of the virus, and 7,021 people have died since the pandemic began.
