A Livingston County teenager tested positive for COVID-19, according to a news release issued Saturday by the Livingston County Health Department.
He is recovering in isolation. County health officials continue to work with the Illinois Department of Public Health and have investigated and notified any individuals who may have had exposure to the teen who tested positive for COVID-19.
As of July 4, 2020, the health department has received 2,734 COVID-19 test results. Of those, 54 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive, 2,680 tests confirmed negative, 39 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, 13 cases remain active and two cases have resulted in deaths due to complications related to COVID-19. Of those individuals who have tested positive, 12 were asymptomatic at the time of testing.

Since Friday, the ZIP code area of Pontiac has reported one more confirmed case, according to information provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The ZIP code area has had 22 confirmed cases out of 1,061 tests.
