A teenager in Bureau County and a woman in her 60s in Marshall County have tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports issued Friday by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments.

Both individuals are recovering at home in isolation.

Public health officials are in the beginning stages of the investigation and are working to identify individuals who were in contact with those who tested positive.

There have now been 41 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bureau, Marshall and Putnam counties. Bureau County has had 30 confirmed cases out of 2,510 tests; Marshall County has had 10 confirmed cases out of 942 tests; and Putnam County has had one confirmed case.

Communities with six or more confirmed cases within the region are: Princeton with 10 cases out of 907 tests and Buda with six cases out of 49 tests.
