One person was life flighted from the scene of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning west of Lostant and two others were taken by ambulance to local hospitals.

Emergency personnel from Lostant arrived at 7:15 a.m. to find a four-door car on its wheels on the south side of Route 18 in a bean field, about 2 1/2 miles west of Interstate 39.

According to Lostant firefighters, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 18 and for unknown reasons left the roadway and rolled several times coming to a rest in the field.

There were three occupants in the vehicle. One of the occupants was ejected.

The La Salle County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash, along with Illinois State Police Accident reconstructionists. Wenona Fire Department and Eastern Marshall County Ambulance assisted Lostant along with OSF Life Flight.
