A La Salle County teenager, man in his 20s and woman in her 40s each tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the countywide total of confirmed cases to 154.

The individuals remain in isolation. Public health officials are working to identify and investigate all individuals who were in contact with the cases.

No additional recoveries in La Salle County were announced Sunday, maintaining that total at 81 countywide. There have been 3,314 people tested for the coronavirus in La Salle County, which is 3% of the county's population.

A hundred of the county's 154 confirmed cases are traced to zip codes areas in Marseilles, which has had 40 cases out of 464 tests; Sheridan, which has had 23 cases out of 108 tests; Ottawa, which has had 20 cases out of 552 tests; and Mendota, which has had 17 cases out of 204 tests.

Coronavirus outbreaks are linked to the Aperion Care Marseilles nursing home, which has had 41 confimed cases, according to the IDPH; and Sheridan Correctional Center, which has had 18 inmates (13 recovered) test positive for the coronavirus, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections. Eight staff members at the prison have tested positive for COVID-19, but they are only counted in La Salle County if they reside there.

The Somonauk zip code area, which is partially in La Salle County, has had seven cases out of 155 tests.

No other zip codea area in La Salle County has had six or more confirmed cases.
