The Crystal Lake Police Department responded to a stabbing incident Saturday morning in the 1300 block of Parkridge Court.
Officers were called at 6:27 a.m. for a report of a “disturbance,” according to a news release.
Responding officers located two adult male victims on foot near the 500 block of Carlemont Drive. One of them was a 31-year-old Crystal Lake male suffering from stab wounds to the abdomen, back and leg, police said, and the other victim was a 24-year-old man from Lake in the Hills, who had minor lacerations to his face and hands.
Crystal Lake Fire Rescue responded to provide emergency medical care to the victims, but they both refused treatment and were released from care at the scene.
One victim later took themselves to an area hospital for treatment, where he currently remains.
The offenders already had fled the scene before police arrived. Police say both victims and witnesses involved in the incident currently are being uncooperative with law enforcement.
This is an isolated incident, police said, and it is believe that the victim and offender(s) know each other.
There is no danger to the public.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation. At this time, we have no further information to provide,” Crystal Lake police said. “As more information becomes available we will provide an update.”
