KANE COUNTY – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 9 new deaths from COVID-19 in Kane County Thursday, along with 168 new cases of the virus.

Kane County has 4,981 total cases and 145 deaths, according to the IDPH.

The recent deaths are 1 man in his 30s, 1 man in his 60s, 1 man in his 70s, 2 men in their 80s and 4 women in their 90s.

Geneva (60134) – 108 cases, 807 tested

Batavia (60510) – 83 cases, 909 tested

Sugar Grove (60554) – 31 cases, 369 tested

North Aurora (60542) – 113 cases, 780 tested

Aurora (60505 & 60506) – 1,405 cases, 4,161 tested; 790 cases, 3,569 tested

Elgin (60123) – 531 cases, 2,290 tested

South Elgin (60177) – 198 cases, 827 tested
