No valid driver’s license

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 10:17 p.m. May 4 on Route 126 near Route 47 in unincorporated Kendall Township for unlawful use of a cellular device. The driver, who was a juvenile, was found to be operating the vehicle on an instructional permit with no valid driver present. The juvenile was cited for unlawful use of a cellular device and no valid license. The juvenile was issued a recognizance bond and released. 

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 9:10 p.m. May 4 in the 100 block of Light Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a battery. The investigation continues.

Speeding

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 8:52 p.m. May 4 on Route 34 at Isabel Drive in unincorporated Bristol Township for speeding. Melanie Isabel Coronado, 18, of the 800 block of Eagle Drive, Aurora, was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. Coronado was issued a recognizance bond and released. 

DUI

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 7:22 p.m. May 4 on Boulder Hill Pass near Codorus Road in unincorporated Oswego Township for speeding 44 mph in a 30 mph zone. After investigation, Christopher M. Hyatt, 49, of the 100 block of Garden Drive, Oswego Township, was arrested on a charge of DUI. Hyatt was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville for processing.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 12:04 a.m. May 4 in the 0-99 block of Hampton Road in Boulder Hill for a report of a theft that occurred sometime between May 3 and May 4. The investigation continues.

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:07 p.m. May 3 in the 0 to 99 block of Hampton Road in Boulder Hill for a report of battery. The investigation continues.

Burglary to motor vehicle, ID theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:08 p.m. May 3 in the 8200 block of Route 71 in unincorporated Kendall Township for a reported burglary to motor vehicle and identity theft. The investigation continues.

Assault, domestic violence

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at 6:52 p.m. May 2 in the 2000 block of South Cannonball Trail in unincorporated Bristol Township for a report of assault and domestic violence. After investigation, a 14-year-old male from the same block was referred to the Juvenile Justice System on assault charges. There were no injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 2:16 a.m. May 1 in the 0-100 block of West Anchor Drive in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of a theft of a license plate. The incident is under investigation.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at midnight May 1 in the 0-99 block of Lions Avenue in unincorporated Big Grove Township for a report of a domestic battery. The investigation continues.

Residential burglary,
burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report made at 11:46 a.m. April 30 in the 0-99 block of Riverview Court in unincorporated Oswego. Police said the victim reported a vehicle or vehicles entered the property and that he believed someone may have been in the house. Police said no items were reported stolen and the scene was processed for evidence.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:50 p.m. May 1 in the 0-99 block of Marnel Road in Boulder Hill for a report of criminal trespass to property. The incident is under investigation.  

Vehicle burglary

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 7:35 a.m. April 30 in the 6000 block of Dover Court in unincorporated Oswego Township for a report of vehicle burglary that had occurred during the nighttime hours. The victim reported property was stolen from inside the vehicle. The investigation continues.

Vehicle theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:15 a.m. April 30 in the 6000 block of Dover Court in unincorporated Na-Au-Say Township for a report of a vehicle theft. The investigation continues.

Theft over $500

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 3:23 p.m. April 29 in the 3400 block of Illinois Route 126 in unincorporated Na Au Say Township for a report of theft. The investigation continues.
