Sports around the world are mostly on pause because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With that, Shaw Media Illinois will take a look back at some of the most memorable Bears 2019 moments.

Today: A walk-off in Denver

It wasn't a pretty day in Denver.

But it didn't need to be, either.

An overall ugly Week 2 game between the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos had the feel of two teams who weren't going to see the playoffs.

But it didn't lack for drama, either.

Eddy Pineiro connected on three field goals, including the game-winning 53-yarder at the buzzer, to give the Bears a 16-14 win and their first win of the season.

The Bears had seemingly given the game away in the final minutes, when Denver quarterback Joe Flacco hit Emmanuel Sanders for a 7-yard touchdown pass, and then again for a two-point conversion, to give the Broncos the lead.

With less than 30 seconds on the clock, quarterback Mitch Trubisky marched the Bears into field goal position to set up Pineiro for the game-winner.

As Shaw Media's Hub Arkush wrote after the game, "with the game on the line at 4th-and-15 and only nine seconds remaining [Trubisky] was flawless avoiding pressure in the pocket, patiently reading the field and then throwing a strike to Allen Robinson and getting the clock stopped with one second left for Pineiro’s game-winning bomb."

For the second week in a row the Bears were unable to put 275 yards of offense on the board, an extremely meager total by NFL standards, with Trubisky throwing for only 120 yards on 16-of-27 passing.

It ended up being a high point for an otherwise forgettable 8-8 Bears season.
