The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in McHenry County rose Friday from 35 to 46 infected patients, according to the McHenry County Department of Health.

Local health officials confirmed 11 new cases shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, compared with 75 total confirmed cases in Kane County, six in DeKalb County and zero in Boone County.

In total, Illinois has seen 3,026 confirmed cases and 34 total deaths. The state had tested 21,542 people as of Friday afternoon.
