KANE COUNTY – The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced the second Kane County resident to die of COVID-19.
According to the Kane County Health Department, the second death was a man in his 70s. No additional information was released. The first death in the county, which came earlier this week, was an Aurora resident in his 90s.
As of Friday afternoon, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kane County was 75, according to the IDPH website. The total number of cases in Illinois has reached 3.026, with 34 deaths, most of which are individuals over age 60. More than 21,500 people have been tested in the state.
