A 28-year old Glenview driver, who was behind the wheel of a gray Subaru verred off the north side of Plank Road, east of Lukens Road, on Wednesday evening when the driver passed other vehicles in a no-passing zone. The driver was injured and taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital.

SYCAMORE - A car rolled over on Plank Road Wednesday afternoon after the driver attempted to pass in a no-passing zone, resulting in a crash which sent the 28-year-old to the hospital.

According to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Plank Road east of Lukens Road.

The 28-year old Glenview driver was injured and taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital by paramedics from the Sycamore Fire Department.

When the gray Subaru attempted to pass in the no-passing zone headed west on Plank Road, they almost hit a car headed east, the release states.

In order to avoid a collision, the car veered off the road into a ditch and through a fence on the north side of the road, coming to a stop on its side, the release states. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
