Lauren Klein sank four 3-pointers and hit 5-of-6 free throws in the second half to help the La Salle-Peru girls basketball team rally for a 48-43 victory over Joliet Catholic in a non-conference game Thursday in Joliet.

Klein finished with a game-high 20 points for the Lady Cavaliers (11-10), who trailed 38-30 with five minutes left.

Brooklyn Ficek added eight points for L-P.

Amellia Bromenschenkel poured in 51 points — including 28 in the first quarter — to lead the Lady Trojans to a Big Northern Conference victory Thursday in Poplar Grove.

Bromenschenkel’s 51 points break her own single-game scoring record of 41 she set earlier this season.

The junior also recorded 12 rebounds, eight steals, five assists and a block in just 2 ½ quarters.

Jenna O’Donnell contributed eight points and three steals for MHS.

Hanah Hart scored 20 points Thursday to lead the Lady Red Devils to a Three Rivers Conference East Division victory in Spring Valley.

Jaclyn Cinotte, Zoey Morris and Tea Cattani scored 12 points each for Hall (12-7, 5-2 TRC East), which has won four games in a row.

Sophia Harris scored eight points Thursday as the Lady Panthers squeaked out a Tri-County Conference victory in Henry.

Tanden VanEtten scored 15 points to lead the Lady Mallards.

Ella Goodrich scored nine points Thursday to help the Knights to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory in El Paso.

The Cavaliers earned a share of the Interstate Eight Conference championship with a victory Thursday in La Salle.

St. Bede split a pair of Three Rivers Conference duals Thursday.

The Bruins lost to Riverdale 66-12 and beat Newman 42-18.

Nick Lough won by first period pin at 182 pounds against Riverdale, while Peter Sampson (285) won by third period pin against Newman.
