Local photographer Rosie Ralston's images are now featured on the Yorkville Public Library’s display wall through Feb. 4. Ralston’s photographs strive to reveal the splendors of natural and rural settings as they unfold throughout the year. The growing collection uses angles, shapes, textures and lines to explore the characteristics of each season. At other times, they simply highlight the humbling brilliance of nature. Ralston grew up and has lived most of her life in Kendall County where she learned to appreciate agriculture, nature, photography and the beauty of all four seasons. She studied agricultural communications at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and there she nurtured her love of photography.
