Bond was set Jan. 10 at $150,000 for a Hinsdale man accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy he met on an Internet dating application.

Mark Sadlowski, 26, of the 500 block of North Street, has been charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office news release.

Sadlowski allegedly met his victim via an online dating application and on Nov. 1, 2019, met the victim met at which time the sexual abuse occurred, the release stated.

A $150,000 arrest warrant was issued for Sadlowski on Jan. 8. He was taken into custody the following day.

“It is alleged that this defendant arranged to meet his victim via an online dating application and once they were alone, sexually abused him,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in the release. “These allegations are extremely disturbing and will be met with the full force of the law. I would like to thank the Burr Ridge Police Department as well as the DuPage County Children’s Center, particularly Investigator Steve Arp, for their work on this case.”

Sadlowski’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 27 for arraignment.
