A Florida man was booked into the Will County jail on charges of possession of child pornography.

Brian E. Engle, 53, of the 500 block of 57th Avenue in Bradenton, Florida, was taken to the Will County lockup from the Cook County jail Tuesday, Will County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said.

Hoffmeyer said Engle was originally arrested by Tinley Park police officers, who had investigated him. He is being held on a $200,000 bond.

A criminal complaint against Engle alleged he was in possession of child pornography on March 20, 2016, and on July 19.

Engle possessed three images showing a nude child and two videos depicting a nude child engaged in a sexual act, according to the complaint.

Will County Judge Carmen Goodman signed a warrant for Engle’s arrest Sept. 30. Engle’s last known address was in Joliet, according to the warrant.

A Cook County judge overseeing a similar case against Engle apparently allowed him to reside in Florida, according to his motion to quash the arrest warrant.

“I lost my job due to the charges and in turn lost my apartment. I have no family near Illinois so was jobless and homeless and granted permission to reside in Florida and return for all future court proceedings, which I have complied with to date,” he said in his motion.

The Will County arrest warrant said he worked for USF Holland, a company that provides shipment and delivery services in the Southeast and Midwest, according to its website.
