SYCAMORE – A Sycamore man faces felony domestic battery charges after Sycamore police said he kicked in a bedroom door and pushed two women.

Dennis C. Walker, 48, of the 500 block of Washington Place, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault after police responded to his residence about 10 p.m. Thursday, according to court records.

If convicted of the more serious charge of domestic battery, he faces up to three years in prison.

According to court documents, Walker kicked in the bedroom door of one of the women while the second tried to stop him. He pushed her back while yelling an obscenity at her, according to court documents

When the first woman came to investigate, Walker struck her in the face and neck, leaving visible marks, according to court records.

According to court records, Walker also grabbed a stick and yelled at the first woman, “You have no idea how bad I want to beat you.”

DeKalb County Assistant State’s Attorney Daniel Regna requested Walker be placed on $10,000 bond.

Judge Phillip Montgomery noted that Walker’s previous domestic battery convictions were 11 or more years ago.

He ordered Walker to be released on his signature and put on pretrial supervision and electronic home monitoring. He cannot have contact with either victim.

Walker is next due in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 3.
