Store reports theft

Someone walked into a retail store at 3:09 p.m. Nov. 11 in the 2500 block of Route 34 and stole merchandise valued at $1,199.90, Oswego police were notified.

Suspect scam reported

A resident of the 500 block of Springbrook Trail South, Oswego, told village police Nov. 11 that she may have been scammed out of $10,000.

Snow a factor in crash

Plano resident Linda Dell, 48, was transported to an area hospital after the vehicle she was driving collided with another vehicle during a snowstorm at 5:55 a.m. Nov. 11 on Route 34 at Route 30.

Police said Dell was taken to an area hospital to be checked for possible injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Stephen Jankiewicz, 53, of Sandwich, was not hurt.

$85,000 stolen in ID theft case

An Oswego resident reported the theft of $85,000 in an identity theft case, according to village police. The victim told police the theft occurred July 5. He notified police of the theft Nov. 9.

Theft investigation underway

Oswego police are investigating the theft of $7,000 Sept. 24 from a residence on Primrose Lane in the village. The theft was reported to police Nov. 9.

Juvenile arrested

Oswego police arrested a juvenile at 10:40 p.m. Nov. 8 at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34. Police said the juvenile was charged with retail theft and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

Disorderly conduct

Oswego police are investigating a report of a disorderly conduct incident that occurred at 7:10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71.

Property damage reported

Oswego police took a report of a criminal damage to property that occurred at 9:05 p.m. Nov. 8 at a residence in the 300 block of Greenwood Place. Police said damage was estimated at $1,750.

Theft reported

Oswego police were notified of a theft that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at a residence in the 200 block of Springbrook Trail South. Police said $2,000 was taken.

Property damage reported

Oswego police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property that occurred on Nov. 9 or 10 in the 300 block of White Pines Lane.

Property damaged at junior high school

Oswego police took a criminal damage to property report at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Thompson Junior High School, 440 Boulder Hill Pass. Police said the damage was estimated at $800.

Oswego man out $9,000

A 25 year-old Oswego resident told village police at 4:32 p.m. Nov. 5 that he was the victim of a deceptive practice. The victim reported a loss in the incident of $9,000. Police said they are not investigating the case at the request of the victim.

Hit-and-run crash reported

Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a parked vehicle that occurred at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 200 block of Lombardy Lane. Damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated a more than $1,500, police said.

Vehicle damaged in burglary

Tools valued at $1,500 were stolen from a parked vehicle at 2 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 3000 block of Route 34. An estimated $300 in damage to the vehicle was also reported.

Tools stolen from vehicle

Miscellaneous tools valued at $2,475 were reported stolen sometime Nov. 7 or 8 from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Lakeview Drive in Oswego, village police reported.

Vehicle found damaged

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to a vehicle that was parked at 4 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 400 block of Treasure Drive. Police said more than $700 in damage was done to the vehicle.

Trespass report

Oswego police took a report of a criminal trespass to property at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 1800 block of Route 30. Police said a man who already had been advised to leave the property returned and then left before the arrival of officers. Police said they are investigating.

Vehicle found damaged

Oswego police took a report of a criminal trespass to a vehicle at 2:03 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 20th block of Stonehill Road. Police said more than $1,500 damage was done to the vehicle.

Mail theft reported

Mail was reported stolen from a mailbox in the 0-100 block of Kendall Point Drive in Oswego. Village police were notified Nov. 6. Police said the mail was valued at less than $300.
